Bernadine Rose Robinson

Bernadine Rose Robinson, of Crestview, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at North Okaloosa Medical Center.  Bernadine was born May 7, 1935, in New Underwood, SD, to Aloysious and Josephine Jobgen.  She attended school in Philip, SD.  After leaving home, she worked as a nurse at the hospital in Quinn, SD.  There she met Travis Robinson Sr., who was stationed at Elsworth AFB, Rapid City, SD.  They were married on September 21, 1953.  The next forty years, home was anywhere that the Air Force sent them.  They were blessed with four children.  After her husband retired, their home was in Florida, where she lived at the time of her death.  She loved making a beautiful, comfortable home for her family and one that everyone was welcome and never left hungry.  Bernadine was known for her great sense of humor.  She will be missed by many family and friends. 

 

Bernadine is preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, nieces and nephews.

Bernadine is survived by her husband, Travis Earl Robinson, Sr., of Crestview; her four children, Travis (Jeanine) Robinson Jr., Debra Pope, Kenneth (Paula) Robinson, and Angela (Bill) Hesseltine; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and her sister, Cecelia Percy, Deadwood, SD.  

 

Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, 1000 South Highway 29, Cantonment, FL.  Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m.  Reverend Father Roy Marien  will be Celebrant.  Interment will be in Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.  

 

Pallbearers will be Al Robinson, Robert Robinson, Charles Hopper, Kenneth Hopper, Anthony Romero and Randy Maddox.
