Scenes from 2017 Philip High School Homecoming Events
Photo #1: The Philip High School coronation, Wednesday, Sept. 6, saw Dawson Reedy crowned king and Mikayla Addison crowned queen. Addison’s first duties were to bless the school’s volleyball, football, and cross country shoes.

Crown bearers were first graders Shay Weber and Genevieve Hajny. Philip’s Homecoming festivities were held throughout last week.
Photo #3: The 2017 Philip Homecoming parade entry winners were announced during halftime of the Homecoming football game, Friday evening. In the community category, first place went to Philip Hardware. In the school organizations division, FFA took first place. First place for the seventh through nineth grades was the freshman class. In the 10-12 grade category, the juniors took top recognition. For the elementary grades, first place went to the fourth grade (shown above, with “The big Scottie victory will leave the Comets “Speechless”), second place went to the first grade, and third place to the sixth grade.
Photo #4: The parade entry under the community category to take first place was Philip Hardware with its appropriately enough use of the Home Improvement television show.
Photo #5: The 2017 Homecoming parade second place in the elementary division went to the first grade. Their sign read, “No job too big. No Scottie too small.”
Photo #6: It took this two-year-old a little while to warm up to Scottie, but she is now a true fan.
