Runaway truck hits trailer; no one injured
From a witness account:
On Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, a runaway grain truck hauling a combine and header was heading south on Highway 73; failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Hwys. 73/14, due to failed brakes. A pickup and trailer carrying several ATVs was heading west to Wyoming, stopping for gas at the Philip Pit Stop. The pickup had just turned into the Pit Stop parking lot when the runaway truck ran into the trailer with the ATVs. The truck continued on through Philip and out of Philip, as far as Moses Building Center when it rolled backward and jacknifed to the west in order to stop. The trailer ended up in the ditch, near the old Bad River park. Luckily, no serious injuries were reported.
