Philip's Kindergarten graduation, Class of 2028

The Haakon School District kindergarten students went through a graduation ceremony, Thursday, May 19. The welcome was given by Superintendent Keven Morehart. Students entered the ceremony’s platform to the music of “Who Let the Letters Out.” After sychronized motions to “Tooty-Ta,” They donned cool sungrasses and baseball caps to perform to “Rules of the Classroom.” Their version of “The Chicken Dance” was actually a mélange that included “Itzy Bitzy Spider” and “Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.” More flexibility was needed when the students lined up for “Limbo Rock.” Performances ended with “Kindergarten Cadence” and adventures of kindergarten set to “The Ballad of Jed Clampett.” The students presented crafts and projects to their parents. An aired video included each student completing “When I grow up I want to be a ...,” “I wish I had ...” and “I love you Mom and Dad.” Presentation of graduation certificates was followed by a pot luck social gathering.
