"Home for the Holidays" in Wall

Wall's ‘Home for the Holidays' campaign a success

If you were shopping in Wall within the past few weeks, it was hard to miss the “Home for the Holidays” punch cards in local businesses. The Wall Chamber of Commerce and Wall Economic Development held the first annual “Home for the Holidays” campaign, Nov. 16 through Dec. 9. Shoppers were encouraged to shop local for the holidays, and for every $50 spent, the cards could be entered to win one of two $100 gift certificates.

The campaign was a tremendous success, and the numbers do not lie. Over 1,700 punch cards were turned in. Based on this number, there was almost $87,000 spent in participating businesses during the campaign.

The chamber and economic development are thrilled with the turnout, and hope to continue the campaign for years to come.

“The campaign would not have been a success without the hard work and participation of our local businesses and loyal customers,” Economic Development Director Cheyenne McGriff stated. “We cannot thank everyone enough for being supportive of the campaign.”

“It was great to see the enthusiasm this promotion created in our community and with our local merchants,” Wall Food Center owner Kent Jordan said, “I would like to thank the Wall chamber and economic development for their efforts and hope to see the promotion again next year.”

If you would like more information about the results of the campaign, please contact Cindy Schuler, Executive Director of the Wall Chamber of Commerce at 279-2665 or Cheyenne McGriff, Wall Economic Development Director at 279-2658.
