In memory of Mike Huether

This mural was painted earlier this spring on the southeast wall of the Wall School gym by a Sioux Falls artist and is in memory of Mike Huether. Mike was a 1975 graduate of Wall High School and avid supporter of all Wall School Activities and Athletics. He was very much a community minded person and a great supporter of the Wall community and school, and he was a friend to all. As you may know, the mascot of the Wall School District is the American Eagle, which is often recognized as a symbol of strength, freedom, optimism and hope. And for the people who knew Mike, these same traits are exemplified in his spirit and who he was as a person. The Wall School District would like to thanks Marilyn Huether and her children, Heidi, Hannah, Bryant, Collin and Austin for their very generous contribution for the mural of the Wall Eagle in memory of their husband and father, Mike Huether.
