Willard Allyn Wilkins, age 81 of Van Lear, Ky., passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his residence. Born January 2, 1942 in Murdo, S.D. to the late William Wilkins and Lauriena (Jorgensen) Wilkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Nevis Moose.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude Fannin Wilkins; one son, Wade Wilkins of Van Lear, Ky.; one daughter, Traci Armstrong and her husband, Robert of Prestonsburg, Ky.; one sister, Norma Derksen; three grandchildren: James (Alexis) Armstrong of Avon Park, Fla., Joshua (Laci) Armstrong of Prestonsburg, Ky., Nathaniel (Paulina) Armstrong of Avon Park, Fla.
Willard was a veteran of the United States Army.
