Wayne Corwin Comp

Wayne Corwin Comp, age 70, died peacefully in his sleep at home, Tuesday, November 02, 2021. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Hall in White River, SD with an inurnment of the cremains at a later date. 
Wayne was born May 22, 1951, to Corwin and Nellie Comp in Winner, SD. Wayne was raised in Presho and graduated from Presho High School with the class of 1969.
Wayne met and fell in love with Susan Krogman. They were married in the country on October 24, 1981. To this union, two children were born: Foster and Casey. They moved to Murdo in the fall of 1987 where they still currently reside. 
Wayne held various jobs, working for Old Home Bread, Old West Feeds, SD DOT, and Schwan’s sales for 26 years. After his retirement, Wayne ran his own daycare for the love of his life, his only grandchild, Hadley Sue. He always said it was the best job in the world! 
Wayne was a devoted husband for 40 years. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed. 
Wayne is survived by his wife Susan of Murdo, his son Casey of Murdo, his daughter Foster (Lonnie) Schultz and their daughter, Hadley ( Wayne’s “best friend”) of Murdo ; his brothers Art of Presho, Allen (Kellie) of Rapid City, and Curtis (Tami) of Winner, and sister Connie of Presho. Wayne is also survived by his brother-in-law Les Krogman, and sister-in-law Sheila (Doug) all of White River; along with a host of nieces and nephews. 
Wayne is proceeded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, his sister Alice, and brother Bill.
Per his request, Wayne is being cremated with internment at a later date.
