Tracy Allen "Dog With Horns" Veit

Tracy Allen "Dog With Horns" Veit - White Eagle entered the Spirit world on November 15th, 2024 at the IHS hospital in Eagle Butte, S.D. Tracy was born on December 16th, 1972 to Darrell "Johnny" White Eagle and Eunice (Dog with Horns) White Eagle. He lived his early life in Bridger. He spent the majority of his grade school years in Faith South Dakota, with his adopted parents David and Betty Veit. He graduated from Takini High School and later  attended college at SIPI University in Albuquerque, NM., majoring in  Graphic Arts. Tracy moved back to South Dakota and started his career  at Lakota Thrifty Mart where he eventually became the Assistant Manager. Tracy had his first daughter Spirit in 1995.  He met and married Wendy Phillips and to this union four sons were born Brockton, Brighton, Brenton and Tracy Jr. 

Tracy Sr. loved playing softball, he played for LTM for many years. He also loved playing pool and  went to the State  Tournament several times. Tracy later met his longtime partner Sharina Brown, and to this union three children were born Venice, Jionni and Alexius. In 2013, Tracy decided to continue his education at United Tribes Technical College, majoring  in Culinary Arts. 

In the past few years, our brother Tracy's health had drastically deteriorated and he needed medical assistance.Tracy was a very  talented artist with  a true free spirit and a kind heart, and he touched the lives of all who knew him.  He would tell his three sisters not to cry for him.  He is going to be truly missed.

Tracy Sr. is survived by his children and (grandchildren), Spirit Collins and children, Brighton(Joey Lynn Addison) Veit, (Broly, Kylo-ren and Brandon-Mathew Veit ) Brenton Veit and (Bellum Veit), Tracy Jr.(Katie) Veit, and (Choas, and Mylo Veit), Venice Veit, Jioni Veit and Alexius Veit. His bonus children Kordell Brings Plenty (K'mai and Kash Lynn Brings Plenty), Tyanna(Calvin) Brown and (Taishah, Charlene and Malik), Gerald (Violet) Hale and (Aaliyah and Mya Hale), Eliza Brown and (Myla Hale) and E'Von Brown. His aunt Debbie Day, his sisters Wenelle (True) Clown, Wynette (Jason) Mills, Wileen Becker, Linda (Kevin) Mount, brother, Dave Veit, Nora Veit, Kathy (Dave) Mraz, brother in law Leon Engel, Cheryl  (Steve)Keller, Patty  (Buck) Murtha and  his longtime partner Sharina Brown. 

Greeting him are his parents Darrell "Johnnie" White Eagle and Eunice Dog With Horns, David and Betty Veit, his son Brockton Veit, his brother Daron White Eagle, his sisters Dardi White Eagle, Sandy Engel, Janet Scully, his Uncle Clement Long, his nieces Caitlin Towry and Chelsea Wells, nephew Doug Veit and sister in law Reena Veit.
