Stanton Anderson

Stanton Anderson, age 89, of Belvidere, South Dakota, died on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Kadoka Nursing Home.
 Stanton Marvin Anderson was born August 27, 1932, in Nome, North Dakota to Erling and Johanna (Hove) Anderson. Growing up he lived in various South Dakota locations as his parents were educators. At a very early age he developed a love for horses, and this remained with him always. 
Stanton attended country school grades 1-8 and graduated high school from White River, South Dakota. He attended and graduated from SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota. During his college years he was united in marriage to Nancy Phipps, and to this union two daughters were born: Sally and Cynthia. 
In 1976 Stanton was united in marriage to Carol Brunsch. They were married 45 years and enjoyed their time together working on the ranch. 
Survivors include his wife, Carol; a special niece and nephew Misty and Alan Brunsch; daughter Cynthia (Lance) Weaver; grandchildren Michael and Lucinda, Benjamin, and Sally’s daughter, Anne; one brother Leroy (Joyce) Anderson; three nephews and one niece; one sister Erma (Richard) Siverson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Stanton was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Sally.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, at the Presbyterian Church in Kadoka with Pastor Jesse Taylor officiating.
Interment with military honors followed at the Belvidere Community Cemetery.
 Arrangements are with Rush Funeral Home of Kadoka.
