Ron Sterling Adcock

Ron Sterling Adcock, 47, of Spearfish, SD, died at Monument Health Rapid City on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Ron was born May 16, 1975, to Paul and Aletha Adcock. He was raised, along with his sister Tanya, in Bison, SD, where he went to school. After graduation Ron attended Culinary School at Mitchell Technical Institute. In 1997 he married Melanie Carter, making a family with her and her son, Devin. The family grew again in 2005 with the birth of their daughter, Hevin Marie.
After his divorce in 2018, Ron met and became engaged to his fiancé, Brittany Birgen.
Ron lived in various places; Mitchell, Pukwana, Fairburn, and Hermosa, finally ending up in Spearfish. He worked as cement truck driver for Croell, Inc. in Sundance, WY. He loved his job and his work.
Ron was known as a “Big Teddy Bear” by his family and friends. He loved being with family and friends. Ron never met a stranger, enjoying all he met along the way. He cherished a good laugh. Known for being a jokester, he appreciated being able to make others laugh. He would go out of his way to help his family, friends, and strangers. He could be found camping and fishing whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his parents; daughter, Hevin Marie of Fairburn, SD; sister, Tanya Sarsland of Rapid City; fiancé, Brittany Birgen of Spearfish; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
