Roger Dale Herron

Roger Dale Herron, 57, “Kul Wicasa” of Rapid City, SD made his journey on December 9, 2019. He was born February 25, 1963 to Jeanette Alica Zephier and John Leon Herron in Rapid City, SD, where he lived most of his life.
He was a well-known Silversmith with Lakota Jewelry Vision for over thirty years. He specialized in Lakota Sioux metalwork. He drove all over the country to art shows, powwows, and conferences. He was an excellent salesman and took great pride in his work. He was a perfectionist, as well as an excellent culinary artist. He loved all his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children.
He is survived by daughter, Allison Bear Robe, grandsons, Hayden Isaiah
Whitehorse, D’Andre Keyon Wright, Brother, and Mitch Zephier, sisters, Loretta Hodgkiss, Barb Logan, Jackie Herron, Zephier Clan, Families of Herron, Harden, Scares Hawk, Low Dog, Claymore, and numerous nieces and nephews, all blood and hunka relatives.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, sister, Patty Herron, brother, Doug Zephier.
Wake Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Woyatan Lutheran Church in Rapid City, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Woyatan Lutheran Church in Rapid City, SD.
Officiating: Minister Jonathan Old Horse
Traditional Lakota Services: Mr. Merle Left Hand Bull
Burial Services: 1:00 PM, Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Pine Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Rapid City, SD
