Margaret Henriksen, age 92, Livingston, Mont., formerly of Wall, S.D., died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at the Livingston Hospital in Livingston.
 
Margaret Christine Gwilt was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Mackinaw City, Mich., the daughter of Bertram and Mary (Spencely) Gwilt. She attended the Mackinaw City School all 12 years. 
In 1941, the family moved to Hazel Park, Mich. She worked in Warren Aircraft Plant making parts for WWII airplanes.
 
Margaret married Donald J. Henriksen on Feb. 14, 1947, in Hazel Park, and to this union were born four daughters, Sally “Sarah,” Karen, Mary and Lucille. 
 
They moved to a farm five miles north of Wall where they lived until 1966 when they sold the farm and moved to Fremont, Calif., where she worked as a waitress. In 1986, she, Donald and Mary moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. where she worked at Walmart for 15 years. 
 
After Donald’s death on May 15, 2002, Margaret and Mary moved to Livingston, Mont., for a year. In 2003, they moved to Wall, where they resided until moving to Rapid City in 2011. Margaret moved to Livingston in 2014 to live with her daughter, Karen, where she resided until her death.
 
Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, putting together puzzles, helping make quilts, camping, fishing and morning coffee club. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church of Wall.
Margaret leaves to mourn her two daughters, Mary Henriksen, Wall, and Karen Youngberg, Livingston, Mont.; great-granddaughter, Lauren Gillespie, Montana; two sisters, Nancy Kunze, Casa Grande, Ariz., and Sarah Linton, Brandenton, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
In addition to her husband, Donald, Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucille Duncan; a granddaughter, Lea Flecher; two brothers, Charles and Marvin Gwilt; and three sisters, Neoma Hutchinson, Olive Chilsey and Evelyn Rogers.
 
A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wall.
 
Interment will be at Black Hills National Cemetery.
 
Arrangements are with Rush Funeral Home of Wall.
