Lori Ann Kerns

Lori Ann Kerns, 57, of Black Hawk, died on Thursday, July 12, 2018 after a competitive battle against cancer, at the Hospice House of the Black Hills. She was born on May 17, 1961 in Pierre to Frank and Angie (Dieringer) Giesinger, the youngest of six children. Lori was raised in Ft Pierre, attending all 12 years at Stanley County Schools, graduating from Stanley County High School.
She married Kim Kerns on September 1, 1979 at the Chapel in the Hills in Rapid City.
Lori was the book keeper for Metro Plumbing and most recently, was the receptionist at Meals On Wheels.
Lori loved her family and prioritized her life around them.
She was known to her family and friends as generous, devoted, incredible and knowledgeable.
She is survived by her husband, Kim, Black Hawk, two sons; Jacob (Mona) Arvada, Colo. and Joey (Whitney) of Rapid City, five grandchildren; Patience (Jared) Bryge, Durango, Colo., Brianna Kerns, Rapid City, Madisyn Kerns, Rapid City, Kaia Kerns, Arvada, Colo. and Karren Kerns, Rapid City, her Mother, Angie (Bob) Murphy, Fairmont, Minn., her siblings; Dianne (Marlin) Larson, Newcastle, Wyo., Kenny (Kay) Giesinger, Denver, CO, Donald (Diane) Giesinger, Newcastle, Wyo, Randy (DeeDee) Giesinger, Newcastle, Wyo and Lee (Val) Giesinger, Morrison, Colo. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lori was preceded in death by her father.
A memorial has been established.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Chapel followed by a gathering of family and friends.
