Jeannene Bach

Jeannene Bach, age 74, Madison, S.D., formerly of Riverton, Wyo., passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the Madison Regional Health System.
It was Jeannene’s wishes to have no service and her ashes to be scattered at the family ranch near Midland, SD over the grave of the horse she rode for 20 years while chasing cows along the Bad River.
She was born March 13, 1944, in Philip, to Merle and Borghild (Dale) Jarman. Jeannene was raised on the family ranch that her grandfather, Jerry Jarman, and his brother, Fred, first came to in 1891 and now the sixth generation lives on the ranch.
Jeannene attended school in Midland, graduating in 1962. She attended Black Hills State College at Spearfish before going to work at the Haakon County assessor’s office in Philip. In 1966, she married Herb Lurz of Philip, and moved to Kadona, where she worked at Belvidere State Bank.  They divorced in 1974, so Jeannene and their baby son, Jason, moved to Riverton, Wyo.  She lived in Riverton until she moved to Madison in August 2017 to be closer to her son and his family. While in Riverton, she worked as a dispatcher for the Riverton Police Department. She also became the Avon Lady for the next 35 years, winning many awards and prizes and making endless life-long friends along the way.
She married Frank Bach of Riverton, in 1979 and gained two children, Kraig Bach and Kyla Cavarez.
She is survived by her son, Jason (Kandy) Lurz; and three grandchildren, Jerett, Karley and Evie all of Madison; Frank Bach, Riverton, Wyo.; sister, Darlene (Dick) Hagan, Piedmont; 3 nieces and their families, Barb (Dave) Swane, Black Hawk, June (Doug) Huston and Susie (Scott) Martin, both of Midland.
Jeannene was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Joyce Jarman; and one infant niece.
In honor of Jeannene, please make donations to The Riverton Animal Shelter, 515 S. Smith Rd., Riverton, WY  82501.
