Jackie (Penticoff) Waggoner, 50, of Pierre, S.D., passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Thursday, May 28, 2020. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Murdo, S.D. Jacalyn “Jackie” Marie (Penticoff) Waggoner was born on March 7, 1970, in Rapid City, S.D. She was the youngest child born to John “Pete” and Mary June (O’Reilly) Penticoff.
Jackie grew up in Murdo, S.D., where she attended Murdo Elementary and Jones County High School. She later went on to study for 1.5 years at Southeast Technical Institute. While she was in Murdo, Jackie was an EMT, worked at Amoco, Triple H Truck Stop, Star Restaurant, and the American Inn. 
Jackie married Rubin “Morris” Waggoner on August 23, 2003. Together they brought two children into this world, Jina Marie and John Tayler. Jackie enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and spoiling her grandchildren, Emmett and Frederick. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, completing puzzles, and playing card games. She always made sure to take care of everyone, and made sure they were having a good time.  
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Rubin of Pierre, S.D.; children, Jina Waggoner of Fort Pierre, S.D., and John (Olivia) Waggoner of Pierre, S.D.; grandchildren, Emmett and Frederick; siblings, Joe Penticoff of Lincoln, Neb., Jeff (Kelly) Penticoff of Philip, S.D., Julie (Jerry) Elrod of Pierre, S.D., Jay (Deb) Penticoff of Summerset, S.D., Jill (Greg) Dean of Pierre, S.D., Janet Penticoff of Pierre, S.D., and Jean Penticoff of Fort Pierre, S.D.; one half-brother, Mick (Marilyn) Penticoff of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two half-sisters, Pat (Don) Bechard of Hermosa, S.D., and Sheila Christoph of Sundance, Wyo.; sisters-in-law, Nina Waggoner of Duncan, Okla., Corky Waggoner of Newark, Texas; brothers-in-law, Sam Springer of Pierre, S.D., Rusty Waggoner of Green Forest, Ariz., Smokey “Joe” Waggoner of Saginaw, Texas, Jessie “T-Bone” Hood, Jr., Green Forest, Ariz.; 14 nieces, 18 nephews, 11 great-nieces, 13 great-nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jane Springer; mother- and father-in-law Donna and Luther Waggoner; infant sister-in-law Margarie Malloy Waggoner; and many aunts, uncles and one great-nephew.
