Burial was at the Dupree Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.  Beatrice passed away, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby, SD.
Born to Charles (Chuck) and Elizabeth (Shorty) Bennett in Faith, South Dakota on December 18th, 1951, she was the youngest of six children. She was born with special needs. In 1957 she lived with Doris and Rex Heidlebaugh. She attended school in Brookings. She became a patient at the Redfield State Hospital and School in 1958. During the summers and holidays she came home and stayed with her sisters Jackie, Connie, and her father Chuck. In 1976 she came to live with Dallas and Connie Sever, and family in Dupree, South Dakota.
She made many friends with her loving, kind, and gentle personality. She dearly loved little people and rocked many babies. She also was a very generous soul, giving gifts of her embroidery and crocheted pillow cases and dish towels. She also loved it when family and friends came by to play cards or dice games with her. Of course she liked to win but if she lost you could get called a “peen head” or she would say “deal you can’t play.” She looked forward to her dear friend Mary Lu Griffith coming by to take her to bingo. She always entertained us with her dancing and singing. Also quoting memory verses she learned at Good News Club. She looked forward to attending church every Sunday. Her birthday was always a special day of each year. She always knew all the family and close friends’ birthdays. In 2017, BK was moved to the Walworth County Care Center in Selby where she passed peacefully to rest in Jesus arms.
She leaves to mourn her sisters Doris (Glenn) Hescock of Montana, Connie Sever of Dupree, South Dakota, and Jackie (Fred) Joens of Dupree, South Dakota; sisters-in-law Kathy Bennett of Missouri and Joan Bennett of Montana; also many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mom in 1960 and dad in 1975, brothers Mac and Don. Also her brothers-in-law Rex Heidlebaugh and Dallas Sever, and one niece Melody Bennett.
