Bad River well named

Usually a muddy trickle, the Bad River has been overflowing. The river flooded over the east end of Park Avenue near Highway 73. Monday morning the road closed signs were moved, not all the way off of the road, but so slowed down, one-lane traffic could go around. Trees that hang over the water were islands far from land. Embankments are slippery, sogged gumbo leading into the rushing, dark brown water.
