It is an era many people wish to forget, not only the veterans who fought on foreign soil, but those left at home and those who protested so vocally about the Vietnam War.
The school board toured the new wrestling practice room, which will also be used for some physical education classes. It takes its place in the old library. The new library is in room A-1, the old computer lab. The new computer lab is in room A-3, next to the high school offices. Also, the refurbished locker rooms are being repainted and carpeted.
After the pledge of allegiance, the Haakon School District Board of Education witnessed the oath of office taken by incumbents Jake Fitzgerald and Mark Radway.

The Murdo City Council met in regular session on Monday, July 6. All board members were present including Matt Kinsley who after serving over 12 years on the council attended his last city council meeting as a member.
