2015 Pheasant Brood survey indicates pheasant numbers are up 42%
Chester McKenzie of Murdo also helps to ensure that hunters have plenty of pheasants to shoot. For over 15 years McKenzie has been raising pheasants from little hatchlings to full grown birds. The chicks first start hatching about the first of April and a majority are big enough to release by about the first of September. McKenzie enjoys raising pheasants and plans to do it again next year so hopefully the Murdo Coyote can report more extensively on his operation from eggs to release.
